We are very proud of the great reputation our Pre-School Ballet classes have gained. We have 2 different age ranges available and both groups are suitable for boys and girls. The first class is for children aged 2-3 years old and the second is for 3-4 year olds who will be starting school in the next year. The use of props such as fairy wands, scarves, ribbons, flags and musical instruments are used to engage the smallest of children. Emphasis is on fun during these classes and children are encouraged to develop the basic motor skills in a fun and imaginative way.
Parents of children in our youngest age range are invited to stay whilst they settle into class and there may be opportunities for parents to join in with certain exercises. When they progress to the 3-4 year old group parents are asked to wait outside the dance room as it aids the development and concentration of the child. This also helps develop independence ready for starting school. Children are then encouraged to progress on to our ISTD classes once they have started school.
