It is really important that pupils are neatly groomed and wearing the correct uniform for all classes each week. It not only allows the dancer to feel the part but also allows teachers to see the correct alignment of the body when dancing and we thank you for your co-operation in ensuring your child is dressed correctly for class. 

Here is our helpful uniform guide for what your child needs for their classes! 

BALLET

Pre-School, Pre-Primary & Primary Ballet

Girls– Plum sleeveless cotton leotard with matching circular chiffon skirt. Pink leather or satin ballet shoes with elastics, pink ballet socks or tights. Optional crossover cardigan.

Boys– Plain white tight fitting t-shirt or white short sleeved leotard or SLH black t-shirt, black leggings, white socks and black ballet shoes with elastics.

**Uniform for children in our Tuesday Pre-School class for 2-3 year olds is optional**

Grade 1 Ballet

Girls– Plum sleeveless cotton leotard with pink ballet tights or socks, pink satin or leather ballet shoes with elastics

Boys– Plain white tight fitting t-shirt or white short sleeved leotard, black leggings, white socks and black ballet shoes with elastics.

Grade 2 & 3 Ballet

Girls– Lavender sleeveless cotton leotard with matching belt. Pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes with elastics.

Grade 4, 5 & 6 Ballet

Girls– Navy blue sleeveless cotton leotard with matching belt. Pink split sole ballet shoes with ribbons and pink ballet tights.

MODERN

Primary, Grade 1 and Grade 2

Girls– Kingfisher blue lyrca leotard, black lycra stirrup leggings and bare feet or jazz shoes.

Boys– SLH Black t-shirt and Black fitted shorts or leggings

Grade 3 & 4

Girls- Magenta pink short sleeved lycra ISTD leotard with black lyrca stirrup leggings and bare feet or jazz shoes.

Grade 5, 6 & Intermediate

Girls- Black criss cross leotard with black footless tights and bare feet.

TAP

Primary, Grade 1 & Grade 2

Girls– Kingfisher blue lycra leotard with black lyrca leggings, black socks and black lace up or mary jane tap shoes with heel and ball taps.

Boys– Black SLH t-shirt with black leggings, black socks and black tap shoes

Grade 3 & 4

Girls- Magenta pink short sleeved ISTD leotard with black leggings, black socks and black lace up tap shoes.

Grade 5, 6 & Intermediate

MUSICAL THEATRE

Black SLH t-shirt with plain black leggings, trousers and bare feet, trainers or jazz shoes.

LYRICAL

Modern or ballet leotard with black leggings and bare feet

HAIR

Hair should be styled in a bun for ballet classes and up neatly in a pony tail, bunches, bun, plaits or similar for all other classes. Teachers need to be able to see the line of the neck to help with posture and hair up and out of the face also allows the dancer to turn and perform without it getting in their eyes!
